El Greco and Toledo
Doménikos Theotokópoulos, best known as “El Greco” (the Greek), lived in his beloved Toledo for over forty years, and to this day, we still house some of his most impressive and representative works of art. The visit starts at the Santo Domingo Convent where El Greco painted his first commissioned piece. Next, we visit the Santa Cruz Museum to enjoy the spectacular Inmaculada Oballe. We’ll take pleasure in seeing his masterpiece, The Burial of the Count of Orgaz, in the Santo Tomé church. At the end of the tour, we find ourselves with his later and well-known pieces in the superb El Greco Museum. In no other city of the world is it possible to do and see something similar.
